Ole Overboe

   Ole Overboe, 96, of Rushford, MN, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at the Gundersen Lutheran Hospital, in La Crosse, WI.

   Ole was born in Stavanger, Norway.  In March of 1948, he came to the United States, and started working for one of the largest jewelry companies, Leeds Jewelry, in Minneapolis.   On June 10, 1961 he married Helen Jean Jorpeland, in Minneapolis.

  Ole and Helen lived on Lake Minnetonka, MN for 30 plus years, and would winter in Florida.  They have lived in Rushford for the past 20 years.  Ole loved to fish on Lake Minnetonka, and the streams around SE Minnesota.

  Ole is Survived by his wife, Helen of 60 years.  He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; and a sister.

   Funeral service for Ole will be Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Whalan Lutheran Church with Pastor Patricia Hinkie officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before services at the Church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
