Harold loved his family and helped host many family gatherings. He always had a cold or hot beverage to offer when friends or family would stop by for a visit.

He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with his wife, Betty. He was on the Fillmore county fair board and enjoyed watching his four children and wife enter many exhibits at the fair. He attended many sporting events as all his children were in numerous sports. He looked forward to the yearly 4th of July family get together with relatives. Harold rarely missed his morning coffee and shaking dice with his buddies at the local restaurant.
