Erma Laverne (Sellen) Clark

     Erma L. Clark 93, of Chatfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield.

   Erma Laverne Sellen was born May 13, 1928 in Roseau, MN, to Ernest and Flora (Hill) Sellen.  On April 5, 1948, Erma married Charles “Charlie” Clark in Roseau, MN.  They lived in Cavalier, New England, and Scranton, ND. After retiring in 1985 they moved to Chatfield, where they lived for 20 years.  During this time, they enjoyed their winters in Apache Junction, AZ.  In 2005, they moved to Gramercy Park in Rochester.

   Erma enjoyed camping, riding her bike, restoring furniture, and made the world’s best cinnamon rolls, but most of all enjoyed and supported her family.  She was a member of the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary, and Pioneer Presbyterian Church.

   Erma is survived by her 5 children; Charles Jr. (Karen) of Georgetown, TX; Gary (Lucy) of Hoisington, KS; Carol (Dick) Kivimagi of Chatfield, MN; Janice (Doug) Olson of Bismarck, ND; Dan (Ann) of Rochester, MN; 8 Grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; Ryan (Amy) Kivimagi, Konnor, Anna, Theo, Lexi, and Avett of Chatfield, MN; Kristi Clark of Georgetown, TX;  Cadi (Alex) Kiel, Lily, Yael, and Lanae of Rochester, MN; Tony (Kate) Clark, Charlie, Henry of Austin, TX; Jayden Olson, Kennedi, Kamdyn of Williston, ND; Tim (Kristine) Clark, Aaron, Marianna of Rochester, MN; Josh (Heather) Olson, Elijah, Violette, and Maxwell of Beulah, ND; Karisa Clark of Beckley, WV.  Erma is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Flora; and her husband Charles of 65 years.

   A family service will be Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Chatfield. Burial will be in the Chatfield Cemetery at a later date.
