Charles Edgar Copeman

   Charles E. Copeman, 70, of Fountain, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at his home in Fountain.

   Charles Edgar Copeman was born January 24, 1951, in Preston to Lee and Louise (Drogemuller) Copeman.  He graduated from Chatfield High School in 1969.  On July 26, 1969 he married Elizabeth A. Day of Chatfield and they were married at Baptist Church in Stewartville.  Charles worked on the family farm with his Dad and brother John, and later on with his son James, until he retired in 2000.

   Charles had a passion for sports, and loved to watching the Vikings, Twins, T-wolve, and Lynx. His true passion was fishing and made many trips up to Canada. He really enjoyed just being around family.

   He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth; 3 sons, James (Tamara) of Red Lake Ontario, Canada, Kevin of Chatfield, and Charlie of Fountain; 2 grandchildren, Jocelyn, Haiden; brother, John (Kathy) Copeman of Chatfield; sister, Linda (Jim) Whitcomb of Eyota; 2 sister inlaws, Ruth Copeman of Fountain and Roberta Copeman of Chatfield; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Louise; 3 brothers, Rod and Bill Copeman, and infant brother Myril Lee.
