Boyd Steven Gasner Sr.

  Boyd Gasner Sr., 84, of Rural Eyota, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 29, 2021.
   Boyd Steven Gasner Sr. was born February 26, 1937 in Owatonna, MN, to Henry and Erma (Ruel) Gasner.  He graduated from Clairmont High School.  On November 28, 1953, he married Kathryn Marie Spitzack in Owatonna. They have been married for 67 loving years.
   Boyd farmed his whole life with pigs, dairy cows, and planted many crops. He loved to drive his tractor. He also enjoyed motorcycling, boating and going polka dancing with his wife.  Boyd loved his family and spending time with all of his grand and great-grandchildren. Boyd's family express tremendous gratitude for all he has taught them about farming over the years. 

 He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatfield and was on the church board and ushering committee.  He was also a 4-H leader and corn dealer. 
   Boyd is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; two sons, Steve (Cheryl) of Chatfield, and Boyd Jr. (Monica) of Eyota; a daughter, Linda (Doug) Wallen of Clarkfield; 8 grandchildren; and 23 great- grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Erma; brother, Terrance Gasner; sister Deloris Micki; daughter-in-law, Tammy Gasner; and great-grandson, Kye Gasner.
   The funeral for Boyd will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatfield with Pastor Peter Haugen officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Chatfield.
