Betty J (Carroll) Ferguson

  Betty J Ferguson, 101, passed away October 29 ,2020  in Rockford IL   Betty was born June Elizabeth Carroll along with her twin brother William on August 20, 1919 on the family farm outside Caledonia MN. Her parents were Lena and James Carroll.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, husband Clifford C Ferguson, and son Paul D Ferguson.      

  Betty and Clifford Ferguson were married January 8, 1946 and lived many years in Benson MN, New Richmond WI, Amery WI Lanesboro MN, Mesa AZ and Betty moved to Rochester MN after losing Cliff. Betty moved to Rockford, IL, 2 years ago to be closer to family.     She was involved with the Girl Scouts and AFS, and she loved to play golf and cards until her later years, and she was a lifelong avid reader.                                                

  She is survived by three daughters; Patricia (Robert) Bleckinger, Mary Jo Berg and Carol (Jeffery) Moll, daughter-in-law Cheryl (Bob) VanGilst; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

  Graveside service for Betty will be Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, in Lanesboro. To share a condolence or memory with the family, please visit rileyfuneralhomes.com.
