Steven Allan Baker

   Steven Allan Baker, 72, of Chatfield, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 17, 2023, while taking care of God’s critters.

   Steven was born December 2, 1950 in Rochester, to Allan Merrow and Beverly Frances (Spicer) Baker.  Steven met the love of his life Theresa Karsten, and they were united in marriage on September 15, 1984.

   Steven was an avid bowhunter and fishermen, sharing and teaching that passion with Theresa.  Making several trips to Lake Vermillion, and never wanting to leave at the end of the week!  Finally harvesting a buck of a lifetime, but never the Elk while living in Montana.

   Steven is survived by his wife, Theresa of 38 years; 2 sisters, Patti (David) Tvedt, Carol Baker both of Byron; brother in-law, Dale Karsten of Colorado; mother in-law Sylvia Karsten of Chatfield; 3 nephews and 1 niece and their families.

   Steven is preceded in death by his parents; father in-law Donald Karsten; and hunting buddies both 2 legged & 4 legged.

   Per Steven’s wishes his ashes will be taken back to Lost Horse Canyon in Montana.
