Dave Lawson

Dave Lawson, 72, of Chatfield passed away Friday, April 12, at his home surrounded by his family.

   Dave was born November 13, 1951, in Michigan city, Indiana, to Marion Majerus.  Dave graduated from Plainview high school in 1970.  On May 18, 1996, Dave married Kim Resendiz.

   Dave worked for a number of companies in construction which included Elcor construction and Sand & Gravel.  He also drove tow trucks for a number of various companies, and drove school bus for Bernard bus.

   Dave enjoyed being with his family and special moments with his two grandsons Issac & Nolan.  He was a man of many talents.  He enjoyed shooting pistol and Rifle with his daughter, Kimberly Ann at the Chatfield fishing game, and going out for breakfast with her and his two grandsons Isaac & Nolan.  He also enjoyed going for motorcycle rides with his wife, Kim.  He loved his craftsman tools, and enjoyed a Budweiser.  Dave was known for a strong opinion, but also enjoyed a good joke. 

   He was a life member of the Harley Davidson owners group, and he was the president of the Fish & Game Club in Chatfield, for a number of years.

   Dave is survived by his wife Kim of 28 years; daughter, Kimberly Ann Lawson and grandsons Issac & Nolan of Ostrander; sister, Jeanne (Keith) Mayer of Eyota; 3 brothers, Steve (Beth) Lawson of Lino Lakes, Jerry (Kellie) Becker, and Mark (Shelli) Becker both of Plainview. 

   Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield from 4 - 6 p.m.
