Jeanette Marion Jackson, 97, of Independence, Missouri, went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in Texas City, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Robert Henry Jackson; parents, Harold Walter Hattey and Elizabeth Olive Stevens; brothers, Joseph Hattey, Jack Hattey, and David Hattey; and sisters, Betty Himes and Nancy Fenton.  Jeanette is survived by her son, Daniel Ray Jackson and wife Veronica Jackson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held, Saturday, April 13, 2024, 12:00 P.M. at Saratoga Cemetery in Saint Charles, Minnesota.

Jeanette was born on September 20, 1926, as a premature baby and became a mama bear that was brave and protective of her family.

Jeanette enjoyed traveling and exploring the United States with her husband in their RV and caring for their dachshund named Rippy.  Family and friends also said she was the best sandwich maker in the world.  She really enjoyed being a manager at a deli.  She also loved her horse named Babe that she cared for as a child.

Services will be under the direction of Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield, Minnesota.
